I’m delighted to have you here and looking forward to finding out about your work, so without further ado, let’s get started!
How did you become a writer?
Actually, kind of by accident. I was looking for a hobby to occupy my time during my retirement, only a few years from now. I started taking writing classes with a wonderful teacher, Laurie Sanders, and found that I loved to write. Such an exhilarating feeling it is to see the characters that started off as nothing more than thoughts in your mind become real on the page.
What’s today’s story about? The Mortal Vampire in Mystic Desire Anthology is about the vampire Remy and the beautiful mortal Angela that rocks his world. He has always been a confident and powerful vampire, with no trace of remorse or self doubt. But the moment he meets Angela he becomes uncertain of who he is, even experiencing physical pain for the first time in his existence.

This is the first time Remy and Angela meet.
“Don’t be afraid of me,” she whispered, lifting her gaze to mine. “I promise that I won’t hurt you.”
“Hurt me?” I looked at her incredulously. How could she possibly think that she had it in her power to hurt me? Maybe she was kidding. But the solemn and captivating blend of serenity and passion in her eyes made me doubt that was the case. I felt like I was being pulled deep inside of her, as if she were inviting me to explore the sanctum of her soul. The longer I stared at her, the clearer my vision became. The two of us together. Our bodies intertwined, smiling and laying naked on a bed of white rose petals. I was getting a glimpse into a different universe. A place where Angela and I were one, where I belonged. Until now, I had never doubted that I belonged here.
I backed away from her again. Despite how ridiculous it was for a coldblooded killer like me to be afraid of this soft and beautiful mortal, she was right. I was terrified of the control she had over my desire. Terrified of the intimacy I already felt for her. She affected me in a powerful and mysterious way and I couldn’t figure out why.
